Lorann Oils has been manufacturing & distributing essential oils since 1962 and is well known for its high quality oils & flavourings for candy making and baking. Lorann Oil Flavours are 3 to 4 times stronger compared to flavoured extracts. You only need 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon of Lorann Oil when substituting 1 teaspoon of extract.
Lorann Oils Super Strength Flavours (Candy Oils) does not contain vegetable oil and does not diminish when exposed to high heat. It is suitable for hard candy, candy centers, fondants, frostings, fudges, cakes, cookies, brownies & sweet breads. It is kosher, gluten & sugar free (except Canadian Maple & Horchata).
One dram contains approximately 3.7 mls or .125 fluid ounces and is roughly equal to one teaspoon.

Which Type of Flavoring Should I Use?
Lorann flavors are used by professional candy makers, bakeries, pastry chefs, popcorn shops, ice cream & yogurt shops, specialty manufacturers and, of course, the home consumer. All of the Loranne flavors are gluten-free, contain no diacetyl, and most are Kosher certified.
Are LorAnn Flavors Vegan Friendly?
Yes and no.
All of our pure essential oils are Vegan-friendly. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that our other flavorings and specialty ingredients are 100% free of animal origin. Although our products do not contain animal products, we do not guarantee that one or more of our ingredients are 100% free of animal origin. Many natural flavour chemicals are found in a variety of sources, and may incur a source that could contain animal (ie. a fruit flavor may contain a smoothing effect from a component with a dairy or egg origin).
Please note that all of the flavours we produce, with the exception of products containing dairy, do not contain animal proteins; however, may subsequently have origins from dairy or eggs.

Our most concentrated type of flavouring. These intense and exceptionally versatile flavours are all appropriate for the higher temperature demands of hard candy making but can also be used to flavour just about anything! Many of these flavors are natural essential oils derived from the peel, flower or leaf of plants.
LorAnn Super Strength Flavors and Essential Oils are 3X to 4X stronger than typical alcohol-based extracts.
Use LorAnn Super Strength Flavors in:
- Hard candy & confections such as cake pops, fudges, marshmallows, and brittles.
- Most flavors are appropriate in chocolates (see the super strength category of our Chocolate section)
- All baked goods such as cakes, cookies, muffins, frosting and fondant (use 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon per 1 cup butter or fat)
- Ice cream & frozen dairy
