Writing and Piping Flowers on Cakes Workshop 30th January 2021

How often when making a cake for someone do they say, "Oh can you just write HAPPY BIRTHDAY on top?" If that question fills you with dread and fear and brings on the shakes and a stress headache then this workshop is for you.

After years of decorating cakes and avoiding piping text on top, Michelle is ready to show you how to confidently write on the top and sides of any buttercream cake. She will share with you techniques for uniform block and cursive writing.

Inspired by the work of Lauren and Marianne (see image) of the White Flower Cake Shoppe in the USA, who are reknowned for their signature style buttercream cakes with bright colours and beautiful piped flowers and decorations.

 The class will cover:

• baking techniques and recipes
• levelling and torting
• stacking and assembling a cake
• making the perfect buttercream to colour, pipe and spread.
• understand what all the piping tips are for
• pipe block and cursive lettering on the side and the top of cakes
• pipe various flowers and attach them to your cake.

All tools and equipment are provided. You will take home a gorgeous 8" decorated cake that will amaze your family and friends.

Cancellation Policy                                                                                                                                         If you are unable to attend a class that you have registered for, please call or email Michelle Martin to cancel at michellemartincakes@outlook.com or 0428267095. A 10% admin fee will be assessed to all class cancellations. No refund or transfer of booking will be available if cancellation is within two weeks of the class date unless the spot can be filled.

Please note that due to the current Covid 19 situation, the workshop may have to be postponed at anytime. In the event of this occuring a mutually convient time will be arranged to hold the workshop again.
